Burton Spain Floating Joint with Inlay Work

This fantastic cue was made by Burton Spain. I had met Mr. Spain on several occasions and was even lucky enough to see the inside of his shop and his storage garage. Burton was a great cue builder and made blanks for some of the most well known cue makers to have ever made cues, including Balabushka.

Although this cue does not exhibit Burton's famous spliced points, it does feature a floating and self-centering joint mechanism. Many of these joints did not survive because the mechanism usually fuses to the delrin material in the joint. Note the nice bird's-eye maple front, and the simple clean lines that Mr. Spain was famous for making. There are 15 inlays in the butt sleve and the wrap isblack nylon. The cue is in great original condition with only a minor chip in the butt plate. Thanks for looking. Please drop me an email and let me know what you think of this cue, if you like.
